So far, you've had a chance to meet two of our wonderful new software developers, Nicolas and Benoît. Now it’s time for me, the new marketing coordinator, to come on stage and tell you a bit about who I am! To help me do that, my colleague Anne-Marie asked me few questions, which are in bold, followed by my responses:
Can you tell me a bit about your background?
I’ve always worked and participated in community projects that reflect causes that are very important to me, such as food safety, environmental protection and social inclusion. With my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communications, I’ve led fundraising and awareness campaigns for different organizations. I also write about the environment and technology for the blog “Growing Without Borders”, which is an organization dedicated to providing computers and IT support to disadvantaged communities.
How did you meet our CEO David?
Well, I wish I had an exciting story to tell, but the plain truth is that I met him for the first time during my interview! It was really enjoyable.
What are your first impressions of working at Devolutions?
This is an ambitious, passionate and innovative company. The team and the office here are very welcoming. You can even see horses outside while working, which is amazing!
What does your job involve? What tools do you use?
As Devolutions’ marketing coordinator, I’m in charge of maintaining our social media properties, such as Facebook and LinkedIn. I’m also responsible for establishing, maintaining and developing relationships within and beyond the Remote Desktop Manager community. Plus, I’m writing for Devolutions blog, which means that I’ll be writing about various topics that, I hope, will be interesting and relevant to our community members.
What are some of your hobbies?
I love everything about Southeast Asia and the Orient! I like the culture, the food, and the landscapes of Laos, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam…and the list goes on. I also enjoy trekking, hot yoga and drinking lots and lots of green smoothies.
What invention do you wish you had created?
I love musicals and which I could write them!
